The Mitsumi 480ATE CD-RW drive offers a highly reliable 16-32X write speed, 12X rewrite speed with the power and performance of a 40X read speed. The Mitsumi 32x12x40 CD-RW drive’s Enhanced IDE interface can be installed easily and is fully compatible with almost any PC for true plug-and-play capabilities.

Mitsumi’s 32x12x40 CD-RW drive is ideally suited for writing and storing massive amounts of data, up to 700 MB (using 80 min. media). With the ability to write and read a large range of formats including CD Text, multi-session, Photo CD and CD-DA, you can store digital photos, Internet images and audio CDs. The Mitsumi 32x12x40 CD-RW drive uses Oak Technology's ExactLink™ buffer under-run protection method.

The Mitsumi 480ATE supports the new Mount Rainier next generation packet writing format standard. Mount Rainier offers drag-and-drop CD rewriting and on-the-fly formatting of the disc, making the CD and ideal floppy disk replacement.
