Mitsumi’s Celebrates its 35^th Anniversary with Commemorative CR-4809TE Special Edition with 16 MB Buffer

Mitsumi introduces 24x12x40 CD-RW drive with 16 MB buffer under-run protection

Irving, TX – Mitsumi Electronics, the world’s largest manufacturer of computer peripherals, is commemorating its 35^th anniversary with the release of the CR-4809TE Special Edition.

The 24x12x40 CD-RW Drive is equipped with a data buffer size of 16 MB.  The original CR-4809TE is equipped with a data buffer size of 2 MB.

Also equipped with the 16 MB data buffer size is Oak Technology’s ExacLinkÔ patent-pending buffer under-run protection offering users additional CD recording protection.

The ATAPI/IDE interface is compatible with computers equipped with Windows 95, 98, Me, XP, NT 4.0 and 2000.  System requirements are: PC or compatible system with Pentium 300 MHz or higher and 64MB RAM.

The retail kit includes the CR-4809TE, data cable, audio cable, screws, Ahead Nero Burning ROM CD recording software, and a blank Kodak CD-R disc The suggested retail price is $129.99 US.
