Mitsumi warrants to the original consumer purchaser that new Mitsumi products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for the standard warranty period from the date of purchase. Standard warranty periods are shown below.

If you discover a defect, Mitsumi will, at its discretion, replace the product with the same model or if that model is no longer in production with a comparable model at no charge to you, provided you return it during the warranty period, with transportation charges prepaid, to a Mitsumi authorized customer service center. This is your exclusive remedy with respect to the product. Product must be packaged in Mitsumi packaging or approved equivalent to obtain warranty service.

For warranty service in the USA and CANADA for end users, please contact the original source you purchased the product from.  If the box that contains the drive has another company's name other than Mitsumi, you will need to contact that company for technical support, software support and/or RMA.

If you are having difficulties, please contact 800-MITSUMI to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. A copy of the receipt or a bill of sale is required for warranty service.

You will be asked to run the Diagnostic Test which was included with the drive in order to receive a RMA.  The latest version of the Test can be downloaded from the Drivers and Manuals page.

This warranty is not applicable to 1) normal wear and tear; 2)abuse, unreasonable use, mistreatment, or neglect; 3) damage caused by the equipment or system with which the product is used; 4) damage caused by modification or repair not authorized by Mitsumi; or 5) damage caused by improper packaging or transportation when returning the product.

This warranty and remedies set forth above are exclusive and in lieu of all others, whether oral or written, expressed or implied. Mitsumi specifically disclaims any and all implied warranties, including limitation, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose and against infringement. No Mitsumi dealer, agent or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension or addition to this warranty.

Under no circumstances shall Mitsumi be liable for any direct or indirect damages of any kind, including without implied imitation lost profits, or consequential, special or incidental damages, arising out of, or connected in any manner with, this product or your use thereof. Your use of this product signifies your acceptance of the terms contained in this Limited Warranty Statement.

All warranty periods run from date of purchase.
