do I receive an error messages when installing the Nero software? Try to manually install the program: Go to Start - Program - Windows Explorer, right click on Mitsumi and choose Explore. Next, double click on the Nero5551 icon. This will give you another list of icons; choose Setup. You will then receive an installation screen from which you can install Nero, Nero Media Player, InCD or UDF Reader. Choose the program you would like to install and follow the prompts.
Rename scsi1hlp.vxd to .old. The file is located in the Windows\System\IOSUBSYS directory.
Nero 4.0.8.3 and above.
Please
check if the WinASPI-Drivers are correct installed. You need to make sure
that you have only one copy of each ASPI file on your system, and that
they are located in the correct place: 1. Select Start 2. Go to Find/Files or Folders (Search your system [C:] for the following files in your version of windows.) WINDOWS
95/98: winaspi.dll...........................windows\system wnaspi32.dll........................windows\system aspienum.vxd......................windows\system apix.vxd..............................windows\system\iosubsys
winaspi.dll.............windows\system wnaspi32.dll..........windows\system32 aspi32.sys.............windows\system32\drivers wowpost.exe...........windows\system 3. If there is more than one file loaded on your system for any of these file names, then rename it. (To rename the file you need to right click on the extra file name(s) and choose rename off the menu. Change the final 3 letter extension to .old and hit Enter) 4. Reboot your computer and run your writing software program.
(Check the file versions and sizes) 1. Do this by running the aspichk.exe program included in this .zip file. 2. Double-click on the aspichk.exe file name. 3. The program will search your system for your four ASPI files and will list them with their respective version, date and size. 4. All the files need to be the same version, # in parenthesis and date. 5. All the files must be greater than 0.
1. Rename all four of the files 2. Replace them with the ASPI files that are included in this .zip file
1. Select Start/Programs/Windows Explorer 2. The location of the ASPI files in Windows Explorer should be as follows: WINDOWS 95/98: winaspi.dll...........................windows\system wnaspi32.dll........................windows\system aspienum.vxd......................windows\system apix.vxd..............................windows\system\iosubsys
winaspi.dll.............windows\system wnaspi32.dll..........windows\system32 aspi32.sys.............windows\system32\drivers wowpost.exe...........windows\system
4. Change the .xxx extension on each file to .old **DO NOT REBOOT!!!** 5. Then do the following: WINDOWS 95/98 USERS: Save (drag/drop) the four ASPI files included in this .zip file to their proper locations as listed above for win 95/98. WINDOWS NT USERS: Save (drag/drop) the four ASPI files included in this .zip file to their proper locations as listed above for win NT. REBOOT and run your writing software program. If you still have an ASPI error message, then you will have to reload your win 95/98 operating system.
If you use a main board with a VIA chip set and Windows 95/98, then please download the newest VIA drivers. Depending on the operating system, download the VIA 4-in-1 driver or only the IDE busmaster driver and the VIA IRQ miniport driver by VIA: Refer to: http://www.via.com.tw/drivers/index.htm
If InCD is installed on your system and you have a main board with an Intel chipset then you should install the newest drivers for the main board, in particular the PCI bridge. Please visit the website below for all the latest upgrades for Intel chipsets.

No. InCD can only be used to write CD-RW discs.
InCD is packet writing software. the packets take up space on the disc. For this reason, the overhead used for the packets takes up roughly 1/6th of the disc space. This is inherent in all packet writing products.
