Keyboard Operating System Questions

1. Where can I download drivers for Mitsumi keyboards?  

Keyboards require no Windows drivers. The BIOS will automatically detect the keyboard.

2. Does the Mitsumi Wireless Keyboard operate in a Windows NT environment?

Yes.  The Mitsumi Wireless Keyboard operates in Windows NT. 

3. What is the proper installation of the Mitsumi Wireless Keyboard?

 Go to Drivers and Manuals and download “wlesskey.doc.”  

4. Where can I find the serial number for the Hot Key Keyboard software?

The software comes in a white envelope. The serial number is located on the sticker which is on the flap of the envelope.

5. Will my Mitsumi Hot Key Keyboard work in Windows XP?

Yes. The Mitsumi Hot Key Keyboard works in Windows2000, ME and  XP without a driver.  For all other Windows, a driver is included with the keyboard.


Keyboard Hardware Error Questions

 

1.     The keys on my Mitsumi keyboard are not operating anymore.  What can I do?

Mitsumi offers a 2-year warranty on keyboards. If it is still under warranty, contact Mitsumi Technical Support at 1-800-MITSUMI or e-mail  support@mitsumi.com.  Or purchase a replacement online at Mitsumi Direct http://www.mitsumidirect.com.

2. How do I get the touch pad to work on my Wireless Keyboard?

If the keyboard and the touch pad are not operating, check the batteries.  The touch pad had an automatic “sleep” function if it is not in use.  Press on the RESUME button and hold it for a few seconds.  The touch pad will operate again.

 

3. Does the Mitsumi keyboard operate with an adapter?

No.  The Mitsumi keyboard does not operate with an adapter.  Connect the keyboard to its respective PS/2 or serial port on the computer.

 

4. The Mitsumi Wireless Keyboard isn’t functioning properly.  What can I do?

Check the batteries. Replace them if necessary. You may have to reinstall the keyboard. Consult the installation guide “wlesskey.doc.” 


 

Keyboard Product Warranty Questions

 

1. What is the warranty on Mitsumi  keyboards?

Mitsumi offers a 2-year warranty on Mitsumi mice and keyboards.  If the product becomes defective within that period, contact technical support at 1-800-MITSUMI or e-mail support@mitsumi.com for information on replacement.

 

2. Can I purchase replacement keys for the Mitsumi keyboard?

No. Mitsumi does not sell individual keys for keyboards.

 

3. How do I change the language on my keyboard?

Please follow the following instructions.

1. Click on Control Panel
2. Click on Keyboard
3. Click on Language
4. Click on Add
5. Select the language you want.

If you have two different languages listed, please delete the one you don't want.

 

4. I have a Gateway Destination wireless keyboard made by Mitsumi? Can I purchase a replacement from Mitsumi?

Unfortunately, no. Mitsumi manufactured the Destination wireless keyboard as an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).  Please consult with Gateway for re-ordering information.
